The NH stream within MAP is responsible for making sure that mission has a high profile at the NH event each summer; currently we do that by developing a mission space at NH called Hope Street. It is not similar to the conventional mission space you find at most Christian festivals; i.e. it is not a site cluttered with a multitude of agency booths, all competing with one another for people’s attention. 

We design the site to make it somewhere people can learn about mission in all its forms and all the opportunities out there in the world. The atmosphere is non-threatening and we work hard to make it interactive and stimulating. Currently we are given the use of the Octagon within the main university building in Coleraine to as the venue for Hope Street. 

It is only one event, but because it requires a lot of hours of creative thinking and planning we have one stream within MAP devoted to making it happen. NH is also possibly the largest Christian gathering within Ireland; this makes it of strategic importance for us as we strive to keep mission at the centre of church life.
